Yolandi has been part of the Skin Renewal family since April 2009. Initially, she formed part of the Finance Department where her responsibilities included invoice processing, creditor’s control, placing branch stock orders, liaising with suppliers and many more ad hock duties. In May 2011, she was offered the opportunity join the company’s dynamic Marketing Team…and she hasn’t left since!
After she matriculated in 2006, she started working full time at Cedar Country Guest Lodge, where she lived out her passion for people and creativity by planning functions, playing restaurant hostess and guest liaison. In 2008 she was given an opportunity to work in the beauty industry, one of her passions, and started as the Salon Coordinator and Personal Assistant to the owner at Rejuice Aesthetics and Distribution. There she gained experience in various areas of business, including marketing, advertising, customer services, finance, distribution and stock control. She also received training in salon products, including Lamelle, RegimA, Nimue and services including massage, facials, Tri-Pollar body shaping treatments and special occasion make-up techniques.
Yolandi studied part time through UNISA for 6 years while working full time, which allowed her to immediately practise everything she was learning. After completing her first year in B.Com Marketing Management, she realised that her interest lies not in business itself, but in its stakeholders. She then changed her direction of study and completed her B.A. degree in Communication Science, specialising in Integrative Marketing - which focuses on the scientific research of human communication that includes marketing, organisational and management communication, organisational psychology, consumer behaviour, public and private communication, research, media studies, public relations, advertising & journalism, International communication and much more.
She enjoys planning and hosting corporate events, design, writing, editing, training and development, market research and analysis, strategic planning and problem-solving.
On a personal note - Yolandi describes herself as a creative soul who loves writing, reading fictions, doing arts-and-crafts, DIY projects and spending time with Mother Nature. She also loves architectural history and the feeling of nostalgia.Read More
